In May of 2021, the PWHPA teamed up with the Calgary Flames, Secret Deodorant and Sportsnet to run the second leg of the Secret Dream Gap Tour. A Tournament style competition that champions equal opportunity for the world’s best women’s hockey players.

The tournament featured Canadian teams, Team Scotiabank (Calgary), Team Sonnet (Toronto) and Team Bauer (Montreal), which put some incredible talent on display over a span of 7 days.

WDSE client Ann-Renee Desbiens backed Montreal based Team Bauer’s net, helping them take home the championship in a 19 save, 4-2 win over Team Sonnet. An incredible performance by Desbiens and the whole squad and highlighted why women’s hockey needs more recognition in North American.

Congratulations Ann-Renee, on such a spectacular showing!
