WD Sports and Entertainment (WDSE) is thrilled to welcome the addition of three new PWHL clients to its roster of professional athletes. Now represented by WDSE are PWHL bound clients Kayla Vespa (PWHL New York), Natalie Buchbinder (PWHL Minnesota), and Jessica DiGirolamo (PWHL Boston).
DiGirolamo from Mississauga, Ontario was a team captain for Syracuse University. Over the course of her career, the defender had 95 career points (33G, 62A) in 163 career games played. Her college accolades include: 2021-22 CHA Best Defenseman, 2021-22 All-CHA First Team, 2022 CHA All-Tournament Team, and 2022 Battle at the Burgh All-Tournament Team. She holds the school records for leader in career goals by a defenseman, career points by a defenseman and tied for first in goals by a defenseman in a single season (10). DiGirolamo, currently suiting up for Team Canada in the annual Canada-USA rivalry series, was drafted 34th overall by the PWHL’s Boston franchise in the 2023 inaugural draft.
Buchbinder from Fairport, New York was drafted by the PWHL’s Minnesota franchise 37th overall at the 2023 inaugural draft event. The American defender was invited as one of 28 players to USA Hockey’s 2022 Olympic Residency Program and participated in first two games of the 2021 My Why Tour. She also earned a spot on the U.S. Women’s National Team for the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship. Over the course of her college career she helped Wisconsin to two NCAA Division I national championships in 2021 and 2019. Over the course of her career with the Badgers the defender registered 55 points (5G, 50A) in 154 career games played. She is currently playing in the annual Canada-USA rivalry series for Team USA.
Vespa from Hamilton, Ontario played college hockey at St. Lawerence University where she tallied 68 points (21G, 47A) in 136 games played. After her NCAA career she played for the PWHPA with the Toronto group of players. In the first-ever PWHL draft she was selected by the New York franchise 76th overall.
