WD Sports and Entertainment is happy to announce that client Owen Tippett has signed a two-year $3 million extension (AAV $1.5M) with the Philadelphia Flyers as an RFA.
Originally a top ten pick of the Florida Panthers at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Tippett was acquired by the Flyers as the centre-piece of a blockbuster trade deadline deal that featured long-time Flyers captain Claude Giroux.
Tippett’s hockey accolades include being named to the 2020 AHL All-Star Game as well as representing Team Canada at the U20 World Junior Championships, the U18 World Championships, and winning Gold at U17 World Championships.
Over the course of 3 seasons of professional hockey the Peterborough native has tallied 40 points (18G, 22A) in 115 NHL games played between the Florida Panthers and the Philadelphia Flyers. Tippett also amassed 60 points (26G, 34A) in 63 games played in the AHL.
