The Boston Bruins announced the team’s roster and schedule for the 2022 Prospects Challenge from September 15-19 at LECOM HarborCenter in Buffalo (100 Washington St., Buffalo, NY 14203). 

The Bruins’ rookies will compete against the Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Ottawa Senators’ rookies in the round-robin challenge featuring prospects from each team. The participating teams will each play three games during the course of the event, which is being held entirely at the HarborCenter. Extended invitations to the camp were WD Sports and Entertainment clients James Hardie and Keltie Jeri-Leon.

Hardie (signed to an ATO) is coming off of a career best season with the Mississauga Steelheads in the OHL where he posted franchise records in points by a forward in a single season, shots on net, and career game-winning goals.

The Innisfil native led all of the OHL’s ranked NHL Draft prospects in goal scoring after tallying 41 goals and 77 points in 68 games. In 189 games with Mississauga he posted 162 points (90G, 72A).

Jeri-Leon (signed to a PTO) is coming off a solid pro season debut playing games in the AHL and ECHL where the Kelowna native posted 35 points (19G, 16A) in 57 games played with the Maine Mariners of the ECHL, earning the team’s Most Improved Player Award. Additionally, Jeri-Leon played six games in the AHL between the Abbotsford Canucks and the Providence Bruins. With the Bruins, he had one goal in two games played.

In five seasons in the WHL, he played in 250 games with 110 points (58G, 52A).
