Canadian goaltender, and WDSE Client, Ann-Renee Desbiens set a new Canadian Olympic record with a 51-save performance in Canada’s 4-2 victory over the United States to close out Round Robin Play at the Beijing Olympic Games. Canada next plays Sweden in the Quarterfinals of the Olympic Tournament. Desbiens has been impressive through the tournament posting a stat line with a perfect 3 wins, a 1.33 Goals-Against-Average, and a 0.959 save-percentage, while putting on a stellar athletic performance with a number of highlight reel saves.
