Cody was originally selected with the sixth overall pick by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
Previously, he had a stellar CHL career in the WHL with the Portland Winterhawks, where he served as captain, amassing 292 points (94 goals, 198 assists) in 239 games. He was also a member of the 2019 Canadian World Junior team, and was teammates with current WDSE clients Owen Tippett and Markus Philips. During the tournament he had 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 6 games.
In his 3 seasons as a pro, Cody has 46 points (13 goals, 33 assists) in 59 AHL games and tallied 22 points (9 goals, 13 assists) in 70 NHL games.
