We’re proud to announce that forward Tyson Foerster has signed an eight-year, $56.8 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers. The deal carries an average annual value of $7.1 million and begins with the 2027-28 NHL season, running through 2034-35.
Foerster, 24, played 29 regular-season games and 10 playoff games for the Flyers during the 2025-26 season. After battling an injury during the regular season, he returned ahead of schedule to help the Flyers in their playoff push. At the time of his injury, Tyson led the Flyers with 10 goals through 21 games. He finished the regular season with 13 goals, four assists and a +8 rating before adding one goal in his first career Stanley Cup Playoffs.
This extension follows the two-year, $7.5 million contract extension Foerster signed with Philadelphia in May 2025. Selected 23rd overall by the Flyers in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Tyson has continued to develop into a key piece of the organization’s young core.
