Jalen Luypen, Carson Golder, and the Edmonton Oil Kings are your 2022 Western Hockey League Champions, and have punched their ticket to Saint John, NB for the 2022 Memorial Cup!

The Oil Kings went 16-3 en route to their third WHL championship in franchise history.

Carson Golder was the definition of a player putting team first. After switching positions from defence to forward because of injuries to Oil Kings players, Golder tallied 6 points in 6 GP during the WHL Championship Series as a winger.

Chicago Blackhawks prospect Luypen had 9 points (4G, 5A) in 19 GP during the Championship run.

Congratulations! So well deserved and can’t wait to see how it unfolds for you two in New Brunswick at the 2022 Memorial Cup.

Down by a goal in the closing moments of Game 3 against the Winnipeg Ice, Jalen Luypen’s heroics tied the game forcing overtime allowing the Oil Kings to eventually win Game 3 of the WHL’s Eastern Conference Final.

The Chicago Blackhawks draft pick tipped in a point shot from the side of the net, sending the Edmonton Crowd into a frenzy.

In the 2022 Playoffs so far the Kelowna B.C. native has 7 points (4G, 3A) in 11 Playoff games.

Kelowna Rockers forward Andrew Cristall has been a force in his first full WHL Season. The Rockets playmaker has set a new highest scoring a record for 16-year-old players in franchise history with 26 goals this season.

The previous mark, 25,  which stood for over a decade was held by Shane McColgan when he scored 25 goals in 2009-2010.

Cristall, one of the most dynamic playmakers the WHL has ever seen currently has 65 Points (26 G, 39A) in just 58 games played.

As the OHL regular season winds down and teams get ready for the playoffs. Soo Greyhounds forward Cole MacKay is starting to heat up in preparation for the games that mean that much more. The 20-year-old forward recorded 4 points (3G, 1A) in the Greyhounds 8-4 victory over the Sudbury Wolves, and 197 points (83G, 114A) in 229 career OHL Games.
